Become a valued partner
Everyone who is involved with creating any event knows that volunteers, supporters and sponsors are the key to ensuring a great event. FoBEA are grateful that we have a fantastic backing in all three categories! That said, making sure things are fresh and interesting is important, and new ideas, people and organisations are vital for our future. The size and quality of our event is attractive to businesses who want to connect with the diverse demographic that constitutes Eventing competitors and spectators. If you would like to be a part of the Marcus Oldham International Horse Trials, please make contact through this website. If you are interested in becoming a financial partner, have a look here...
BATTLE OF THE
We are proud hosting an event that draws people to our beautiful City of Ballarat. Our event depends on local businesses supporting us, and in turn we like to support their business. One of the ways we do this is to run a fun competition in which an elite rider is paired with one of our valued Ballarat Business sponsors - for each win or place achieved by the rider, the business accumulates points. At the end of the event the winning rider and business pair are awarded a prize. It is a fun and inexpensive way for a business to be part of the event, and means the business is recognised throughout the weekend. We would love you to be part of it! Ask us how!

WHAT WE DO
The Marcus Oldham Ballarat International Horse Trials are held in Victoria Park over three days on the second weekend of May every year. The event attracts approxmately 440 horse/competitor combinations from across Victoria and Interstate.
This event is one of Victoria's premier equestrian events and attracts riders from elite Olympic standard through to junior riders starting their competitive careers.
We host a cocktail evening for our Sponsors and competitors, a substantial Trade Village that caters to riders and our 2500 spectators and three days of spectacular sporting performance
The annual Hickstead and Training weekend has become a 'not to miss' event for riders from around Victoria and beyond. Generally the first event of the Summer/ Autumn season, it is a major fundraiser for the Ballarat International Horse Trials.
The ability to train the course the day before is a unique opportunity to start the season off on a confident note for new combinations and also for those wishing to move up a level. Held in a friendly and relaxed environment a dressage test along with a short course of showjumping and cross country is fun for both horse and rider.
Friends of Ballarat Eventing Association are able to offer a fast paced fun winter training opportunity by providing instruction and competition over two days utilising the fantastic facilities of the Victoria Park Equestrian Precinct. Saturday is a day of instruction and Sunday offers a combination of cross country and showjumping in Hunter Trial format. The nature of this competition means even on the coldest of Ballarat days competing can still be enjoyed.
Friends of Ballarat Eventing Association aim to ensure that Eventing is a fun and safe sport for all levels of rider.
To this end we offer clinics throughout the year with qualified instructors who can engage and stretch the capacity of participants. These clinics are advertised on our social media sites and on this website
